Summer of Hell

2005 grand prix The pic you see to the left, is what used to be our 2005 Grand Prix. I will get to that in a moment.

First I want to say, it’s good to be back. The reason I had been gone so long has a lot to do with the above pic. In any case I am back for good this time.
In any case, I am starting fresh with a new counter etc. There is still a lot i need to add on my page, but i can do it during daily posts. I have so much to tell you, but I am not going to be abel to do it all in one post.
Earlier on , I told you all that things were looking up for us. Well I guess I spoke a little too soon.
On July 14 , Terry, Jordan and I were out for a drive. Well the pic you see above was what our car looked like. This is what it looked like after our drive.

Everyone is telling us they don’t understand how we got out without serious injurys. :!:
I know it really scared me. My only thoughts were of Terry and Jordan. As long as they were o.k. was all that mattered to me. It was a young guy and his buddy in a pick-up truck that hit us. He slammed right into the side of us. He was turning into a gas station at the time. After it happened, I did have a few choice words with him . His excuse was he didn’t see us because the sun was in his eyes. But the fact was, he wasn’t even looking at the road. He was looking towards a hotel which was next door to the gas station.
He didn’t even have the decency enough to ask if everyone was alright. He couldn’t have been no more than 19 or 20. But to make a long story short, it has been a month and we still have no car. We only had that car for 5 months and we did recieve a settlement cheque from that idiots insurance company. The car was that badly damaged, that it was wroitten off. But we had to give the cheque to the finance company because we were still financing the car.
So that is how most of my summer has been. I still have a lot more to tell you but I will leave it for a few more posts. Like I said, I am back for good so keep checking back here for updates. Take care all and lots of hugs.

  1. Sorry to hear about the car. Hope things get better for you soon. Glad you guys are alright. Nice to see you back too.

  2. Ugh!! I am so glad that y’all are okay. It really bites about the car. Are y’all going to be able to get another?

I have a small pic of our car that was totalled as well. Buddy and Tanner had gone to get a haircut and they slammed into the back of a Ford Ranger that pulled out in front of them. Thankfully he didn’t get a ticket. The guy driving the truck spoke no English and he didn’t even have a license. Hmm….

We only had liability on that car so we are out of luck. Our insurance will pay to fix the truck’s bumper as that was all that was damaged, but we are out of a car.

On a better note…WELCOME BACK!!! So glad to see you posting again. I need to update myself. LOL! Take care and have a great week Colleen!!
